The Black Sheep Sta Tornando Negli Stati Uniti
So, I know I promised to be better about this but whoooa doggie was I stressed there for a little bit. I have been trying to figure out ways to stay in Italy (because no surprise I love it here). And, in an unexpected twist.... the way for me to stay, starts with me coming home. I of course want to spend special time with each and every one of you. I am especially hoping that my new favorite and currently only nephew will be born while I am home - shout out Rowe. But, please please let me know who has what going on so that I can see every one of you(ps - that sentence is basically impossible to say in italian). The closest I can get with my current knowledge is "per favore, per favore dimmi chi ha altro piani perché voglio vedere al tutti."
Anyways. I sat down to write this post thinking "what the hell am I going to write that is interesting?" I haven't done a whole lot, I am actually kind of boring... Maybe that is why I promised to post more and then didn't - yeah, whoops sorry about that. BUT, I am getting back on the wagon and settling back in now that life has calmed. Anyways. So I was sitting here thinking that and then I wanted someone to slap me - which I would totally deserve - for thinking that. So here is a quick little update.
1. I moved apartments and am totally obsessed. The room is "holy shit" small, like I actually live in a shoe box. But, it is a shoe box with a balcony so I'll calm down. Part B to the apartment is I have this next door neighbor who is incredible at guitar and a pretty decent singer. I have yet to see him and I am pretty sure he lives with his girlfriend...but they fight a lot soooo who knows. Anyways, in my mind he is super hot - so fingers crossed everyone.
2. This past weekend I went to Spoleto, because we had a long weekend. And there were parks, a man who totally lost his shit in a park - like actually went f**king nuts and we moved the party elsewhere, waterfalls, and about 5lbs added to my waistline because of all the food they force feed me. I am not joking when I say force feed. I tried to say I was full and they told me it wasn't allowed an eating is part of the culture. So like, someone tell me the secrete. How the hell do these people stay so skinny. I want to smack them and then eat more of their delicious food. No joke, second day back and I am still full.
3. I've started running agin. This in and of itself is stupid and boring to talk about. BUT, the new apartment actually makes this a little cool so I'm allowing it. Forget the fact that I am running. Today alone I saw a Piramide (which I live next to and see everyday... but still, wtf they have those here?!), ran along a river and found a whole new park. And Thursday I plan to run past some touristy spots, which god help me hopefully is achievable. Anyways, my new way to explore this city is by running past it and then trying to find it again later.
4. I joined an expats club! So far I have only been to one event. But, oh my gosh. It was on top of this hotel... (okay pause, i just got a phone call from an italian phone number and had a full conversation - WHICH I UNDERSTOOD - in italian. Today kicks ass). So this hotel is super beautiful! The only thing is, and this has happened twice now so I worry it's a thing. An old man hit on me for like a really long time. And, has proceeded to text me a few times. Normally I would think this is very innocent. But, for reasons I do not want to get into it absolutely is not. Just use your imagination people. And I am talking like 72 kinda old. I actually just gagged a little thinking about it. ANYWAY, it's cool and I will still probably go to some more meetings. Apparently, being a part of the American club is a big deal here, duh. But if you aren't American you can only get in by recruiting someone who is, so let me tell you guys if I was an high school football star in Texas I would be one hot commodity. And, yes I still go Sooners and I know that just lost me 90% of my readers. SORRY! Eh, who knows.
Anyways, I am super hungry and struggling to remember what else I put on my list to write about so, arrivederci!
